Trip To Japan 5/6/10

Today was a nice day. We went to Akihabara which is the electronic part the the HUGE tokyo mall. I got to experience a 3D TV. It was cool. Heres a picture of the street we were on as we left. it was raining

After that we went to this BEAUTIFUL Japanese garden where my family and i got to experience our first Japanese Tea Ceremony. Heres the garden pictures.

These flowers are called wisteria i think. O-M-G they
smell SO good!

This tree is extremely old, i forgot how old exactly but i
think its about 700 years old....

I thought this light was cool so i took a picture.

Here are the tea ceremony pictures. It was really cool.
They gave you these really awesome sweets. Then after
that, you drink your tea. They give you step by step
directions on how to do so.

The tea wasnt like most green tea, this was different and
more pure kind i guess. It had foam on top. I did not like
this tea, it had no sugar, but the sweet that it came with
helped, but still....i didnt like it buuuut i drank it all out
of respect. :)

After all of that, we went on a boat ride. We went under
13 bridges. I got a picture of all of them i think....maybe
12. There was this really adorable little asian boy. He
looked about 4 years old. He was too cute! i wanted to
give him a hug so badly but since i didnt know him and
didnt want to freak him out, i refrained from doing so.
He spoke mandrin. I could understand a little of what he
was saying but not much. I could tell that he was asking
alot of questions though. Ha-ha just like a kid.

Isn't my family just BEAUTIFUL!? lol.

this boat looked like it had too much junk in the trunk.

when the boat went to go park, i saw this wall i thought
was cool

After that, we went to Ginza to get some money exchanged
then we went next door to this mall/restaurant. IT-WAS-SO
CLEAN!! You could just lay down on the floors! lick em if you
wanted to!! but anyway :) we arrived at this sushi restaurant.
All the sushi we ordered was completely fresh! Nothing from
target or costco. lol. Everything was delicious. I was kinda afraid
to eat the pieces of raw fish that were really big. I've never eaten
a big piece before, but i sucked it up and ate it anyway and....I
actually liked it :). I also had miso soup with white radish and
green onion. o_0 that was pretty good too!

I ate this egg custard. It was......okay, but i ate most of it
anyway and the i got to the bottom, all this stuff started
popping up. There was crab, a certain type of mushroom,
a potato thingy, and something called a ginko nut. I liked
all the surprises at the end of the cup. Im glad i ate it to
see what was all in there. lol.

After that i stood outside for a bit and people watched, since
i tend to do that alot. I saw lotz of cute/cool clothes and shoes.
The Japanese have style ;) (see! i TOLD you i belonged there!!)

Later on we went to Shibuya where i went shopping YEA! \_^_^_/
Those stores were EXPENSIVE though 0_0 so i just got a few shirts.
While i was in one of the stores, i noticed these cute high heels on
someone. The entire outfit was kinda slutty though. the 5 inch heels
were paired with fish net stockings and booty shorts. I looked up at
the long-legged person and noticed that she looked rather...manly.
Well thats because it WAS a man. LOLOLOL never seen i cross
dresser before...that was an adult. but...anyway, it was getting
late and everyone was really tired so we headed back to the hotel.

So a few hours ago we finally made it into japan. Going over everything was pretty cool. there were LOTS of rice patties.

We went into the airport and our travel guide met us there. her name is koko and she is very very nice. I conversed with her in japanese as well! It was cool! and it turns out that i dont have a very big accent when i speak it either.(YES! ive worked hard for that).

We drove to the hotel (about an 45 minutes away). we passed the disney land resort

we were driving pretty fast so i had to snap the camera quickly.

So if your in a nice place in japan and they have no toilet paper in there, have no fear! SUPER TOILET IS HERE! (it can spray you with a sigle water jet or multi :D )

Outside my window when it was still kinda light outside. you can see downtown tokyo.

This plane is HUGE It has like..3 sections from left to right! Siiiigh we're in row 40. hopefully the plane doesnt break in half in the middle of the sea like on 'Lost' (not that i watch that anymore because i don't)

OMG! Theres TV's on the back of the plane chairs! You can watch all kinds of things. but its all recorded not cable ofcourse.

While i was still inside the airport, I was sitting behind some koreans and actually understould some of the small things they were saying! :D but n-e-way, im going to go listen to some music so ttyl

Still may 5th 6:44 (u.s.time)|
-----------------------------

98 songs on my MP3 and 3 1/2 hours of hanna montana later -_- :

Ugh im so bored.

Right now im right over the ocean. Most of it is dark blue, but right across from that are a few small islands and surrounding them is the most light blue you've ever seen and it just fades into a darker and darker blue. It's so BEAUTIFUL. Heres the picture. you cant really see it that well but its there.

I'm looking at the virtual map on the back of the persons chair infront of me and i can read the Japanese characters for tokyo(yay) we're so close!!

We've passed the Berring sea and are headed towards the international date line. I'm pretty sure I've lost 15% percent of my hearing because my MP3 is nearly full blown and i cant even hear it as well as i could before the plane took off -_- i guess my ears are really stopped up.

東京へ!

heres somemore pictures. this one was taken when we were flying over Cana
da and Alaska

OMG IM GOING TO JAPAN IN 2 WEEKS!!!

So today was an awesome day. i got invited to a school ceremony and when i arrived the principal told me to follow him and this girl. we went around a few corners and we arrived at this red carpet. i tried to go around it but as soon as i did they were like "no no no, you must walk on the red carpet". so i start walking while completely clueless of whats happening. at the end, i arrive at this gym. theres a TON of kids sitting down. they tell me to take a seat as well. i sit down and they do this entire pod cast about japan and all the things to see there! afterwards they bring a microphone out and tell me to come up. a teacher stands next to me and is like "do you know why your here?" i look at her and reply "no". then she tells me to look out at the crowd and everyone held up white and red papers, once theyre all up, i can see that together it makes the japan flag!! then the lady next to me hands me this pink slip and says "this school has raised over $5,000 and we'd like to present you and your family with a trip to japan" and im like... *shock* ......OMG THANKYOU!! and then everyone starts clapping!they ask my dad to come up and say a few things and he just talks about my story and how i've wanted to go to japan since i was little (10 to be exact)and then i go to my seat and sit down and see all of my friends and family at the entrance i came through. my face was still like *shock* then i found out that they knew it was all going to happen. they knew it was going to happen every since it got planned (which was supposedly a year ago)!!! *shock*

After the whole ceremony was over some of the kids left and then some of the kids stayed and sat down on the ground. the teachers pulled a chair up in front of them, and told me to sit. the next thing i know, theyre handing out all of these gift and tell me that its for me. i open them and its aaaaaaalllll this SUPER cool stuff!!!! cute things too :D
after that. i said hi to everyone and thank all of the teachers and students for doing this, and then me, some of the students and my little brother start playing basketball. i had TONS of fun. this was one of the best days EVER.

so yup. im going to japan! maybe i'll see dbsk while im there. I'd scream if i saw them all.(dbsk is a asian boy band) lol. but i will keep you guys posted and put up pics. LUV YOU BLOGSPOT!
